Curious as well:
I'm reading an O'Reilly book for LPI (independent Linux)certification right
now as an introduction. I might go for the certification, but I don't know
if it's worth anything - anyone ever heard from it ? (since It's an O'Reilly
book, I assume it's not too small or unknown)
What is the value (professionally) of all them certifications on the market
?

What are peoples thoughts on these courses? I've been contemplating
doing one for a while now. Are they valued?
