The story recently of Canadian Cyborg bloke being searched and missing his plane reminds me of another from not long after 11/9. A fairly well known Perl programmer is preparing to travel. Packing up his laptop, it dawns on him that the sticker on the lid saying "Don't Fuck With The Camel" may be deemed offensive to somebody. He called the airport ahead of time and ask if it would be likely to cause any problems. The airport said "Expect to be seriously searched and miss your flight".
