Hi My name is Prakhar Agarwal and I am an undergraduate student BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, India. I have some experience working on Scrapy and some other opensource projects. Recently I have been working on integrating an open source indexer with scrapy in order to present the crawled data in a meaningful way.
Programming languages I work on C,C++,Python,JAVA,PHP. A part from that i do have a working experience with HTML5,CSS3 and various js libraries.(d3.js,impress.js,reveal.js) I would like to contribute towards the Scrapy project. I was going through the idea list for GSOC and some of the ideas which interest me are : 1.Simplified Scrapy add-ons 2.IPython IDE for Scrapy 3.Support for spiders in other languages I would like to discuss more on these ideas and start contributing towards the project. So please guide me as in how should i formulate my approach in order to contribute towards the project in the above categories.
