Hi, My name is Taranjeet Singh and I am an undergraduate student at JSS Noida. I was really happy when I got to know that Scrapy is applying this year for Google Summer of Code. Scrapy has helped me a lot in my projects. I have been using Scrapy since 1 year and have parsed quite a few sites like Google PlayStore using it.
I have some experience working with open source projects. I would like to discuss on these ideas as I am looking forward to contribute to Scrapy community as a prospective student for the Google Summer of Code 2014. While having a look at the ideas proposed, Simplified Scarpy add-ons and Modern Scrapyd Web UI seems fascinating and interesting to me. My programming languages include GNU C,Python, Javascript and familiar with many of the web development technologies like HTML,CSS,HTML5. It would be a great spending my whole summers contributing to Scrapy community. I would like to discuss more about these projects with the mentor so as to start off with the project. As a step towards drafting a strong proposal for Google Summer of Code 2014, I have set up my development environment & currently going through the codebase.
