Hi, First I, Nitika would like to introduce myself. I am currently pursuing Computer Science and Engineering at Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology INDIA. I have been using Scrapy and is quite familiar. I am looking forward to cotnribute to Scrapy as a prospective student in the upcoming Google Summer of Code 2014. I am aware of the open source development tools.
While looking at the proposed Project Ideas, I found the Modern Scrapyd Web UI Idea to be much appealing to work on this project in Gsoc 2014. Now, Before discussing the Idea and to carry it forward, I had looked at the Scrapyd source code and currently working on some of the issues to resolve. Currently frontend part is not merged in the Scrapd source code and the pull request for the web UI frontend part submitted by Jordi Llonch has to be reviewed. Since Scrapyd is an application to deploy and run Scrapy spiders, with a HTTP API and web UI, We need to a strong Web UI. I would like to start working on this project idea. I have experience and strong command over the Python, Javascript and HTML/CSS, i.e., the skills being used to work on this Project Idea. I would like to seek your guidance to start off with the initial steps to work on this and then move forward to carry this project in the upcoming Summer of Code 2014. Please help in guiding to take this project idea and work on this so as to make a good and strong proposal for Gsoc 2014.
