The documentation (http://scrapy.readthedocs.org/en/latest/intro/install.html) says that Scrapy 0.22 needs Python 2.7 . Is this mandatory or is it possible to run it on 2.6.8 without issues? I just wonder if somebody knows what the issues may be before i upgrade the software distribution on this machine.
