Hi all, I'm a second year undergraduate student at BITS Pilani, Goa, India and have been contributing to many open source organizations including Mozilla and OSGeo. Last year I was selected into GSoC 2014 for OSGeo and successfully completed my project. I have used Scrapy for a few projects before and so I'm thinking of contributing to Scrapy for GSoC 2015 and I liked the project 'New Scrapy Signal Dispatching <https://github.com/scrapy/scrapy/wiki/GSoC-2015-Ideas#id13>' and would love to work on it as my GSoC project.
To start getting used to the code base I'm thinking of solving some bugs listed on the github repo but I'm facing some problems on which one to pick as I'm not sure which of them are still open as there are few issues for which PR's have been merged but they are still open so I'm confused which ones are open and which are closed. I would love to hear from the contributors and users about any suggestions and tips on contributing to Scrapy especially Pablo and Daniel as they are listed as mentors for this particular project. Thanks and happy coding! Vikas Mishra irc : mishravikas github: mishravikas -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "scrapy-users" group.
