Hi !
My name is Aron Bordin, I’m in the second year of Bachelor of Computer Science at Faculdade de Ciências, Unesp, Bauru – Brazil <http://fc.unesp.br/>. I’ve a technical degree on Computer Programming from CTI - Unesp <http://www.cti.feb.unesp.br/>, and I’ve been developing extra-curricular activities since 2009. I participated in GSoC 2015 with Kivy Foundation, working with Kivy Designer <https://github.com/kivy/kivy-designer>. I’ve a good experience with Python, Java, JS (Cordova and Node), Git, and open source projects. I’ll be studying and contributing with Scrapy in the next weeks to get a better experience with its source. I’ve worked in two Brazilian companies and got some experience with web crawling on both of them. In the first one I developed some small crawlers using Beautiful Soup. And in the beginning of the last year I had a big experience with HttpUnit (Java) developing a system quite similar to Portia (Portia was the inspiration :) ) that was able to represents an crawler with json, that could be converted to Java-HttpUnit and executed through this app. I don’t have experience with Scrapy itself, but I think that these work projects gave me a good experience to web crawlers. I’m very interested in “Support for spiders in other languages” because I think that this project can be very positive for the community. I read this old topic about it ( https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/scrapy-users/gsoc/scrapy-users/d8-Fy9GDttg/KB9hkFsC0qgJ), I’ll go deeper and see it more details in this week. Another good project is “Web Scraping Helpers”. I’ll check which of them is the best considering my experiences, and start to work in a proposal :) Some links: - http://github.com/aron-bordin/ - http://aronbordin.com/ - http://blog.rhesoft.com/ Thanks, Aron Bordin. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "scrapy-users" group.
