Please go for it. There is some issue that cross-gdb does not seem
to accept corefiles, but that's probably not easily fixable.
I did a quick version of this shortly after sending that announcement
out. At least for my toolchain (the EABI one from CodeSourcery), it
went well. I did notice that the standard .patch files that Scratchbox
applies to both GDB 6.1 and 6.3, each contain an unused debian
directory (in fact, the whole patch looks like the .diff.gz from a
Debian source package). [For example,
http://scratchbox.org/download/files/sbox-files/gdb_6.3-5.diff.gz]
Am I right about thinking that the stuff inside the .diff.gz's
"debian" directory is ignored by the GAR framework? Since the various
diffs stored inside those from "debian/patches" directories aren't
applied anyway, I just ignored them for GDB 6.4.
