Hi,

There is an experimental build of Debian devkit with a newer utilities available at [1]. If you want to play around with packages that require the latest version of Debhelper, for example, you might want to try this devkit.

Be aware, however, that it's an experimental build. Might work for you, or it might not. Currently that build contains a mixed system that is not officially supported by Debian. The goal is to update all the tools in Debian devkit to the latest Debian stable (Etch) somewhere near future.

The dependency relations between the two devkits offered by this package has also been reversed. Now debian depends on debian-sarge, and contains only those tools that have been updated from the Sarge versions.

Please don't report any bugs resulting from using unofficial builds to scratchbox.org bugzilla. Any issues, comments, etc can be sent to mailinglists.

At the moment, you can also find and experimental build of doctools devkit in [1] with more up-to-date versions of documentation tools.

Happy hacking,

 Jussi
