It should not be empty, you're supposed to either copy relevant files from
the toolchain, or get a ready rootfs, maybe from maemo.org or somewhere else.

debian/unstable (or testing).

Does the buildroot contain crt1.o? It's probably not enough that the
toolchain's directory has it, I've tried pretty hard to make sb2 run the
gcc so that it gets all its files from the buildroot.
