Follow-up Comment #1, bug #34026 (project screen):
This is actually a bug in Vim. However, there is still a bug where "altscreen
on" in Screen still has the bleed, whereas it would not show up despite the
bug in Vim on your normal terminal program.
This screen bug is present in the 4.0.3 stable version, but is fixed with the
current git repository as of this writing.
