Follow-up Comment #3, bug #32471 (project screen):
Could it be addressed (the problem is still there with current git version) ?
Breaking backward compatibility is rather serious.
Best would be to make it work with both and choose one for creating new
sessions but reverting to fifos should also work fine.
ps. are that any disadvantages with fifos?
