Follow-up Comment #1:
master is development branch for v5
if you want something close to 4.5.1 please use screen-v4 branch
if you really want to use master, either comment out stuff in authentication.c
(make Authenticate() just "return;")
or try building with PAM support (./configure --enable-pam)
