Follow-up Comment #3, bug #51500 (project screen):
Ok, after compiling screen on another system and being unable to reproduce the
problem, I narrowed it down to this line in my .screenrc:
defmonitor on
I have gone back to the CentOS systems and commented out this line and
confirmed that it no longer crashes.
So, apparently that, combined with windowlist -m breaks screen between
versions 4.01 and 4.6.
