Follow-up Comment #1, bug #31336 (project screen):
For me the erroneous output is
がÿ.ÿ.
which then on a subsequent resize of the terminal emulator window changes to
が���.ÿ.
(yes with U+FFFD replacement symbols).
I tried to port this 7 year old patch to master, maybe I messed it up, but it
doesn't properly fix the bug for me. With the patch the output becomes
が.ÿ.
and remains so after a resize.
