Summary: kill and quit --confirm options are undocumented and should be default Group: GNU Screen Submitter: andrex Submitted: Fri 11 Apr 2025 11:42:07 AM UTC Category: Documentation Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: 5.0.0 Fixed Release: None Planned Release: None Work Required: None _______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Fri 11 Apr 2025 11:42:07 AM UTC By: Andrew Schulman <andrex> In screen 5.0.0, the kill and quit commands both have a --confirm option that's not documented in the man or info pages. In screen v4, the default behavior (I think, at least in my installations) of both kill and quit was to prompt before executing. In v5, (in my Cygwin build) the default keybinding for k is kill --confirm, but the default for \ is just quit. A safer default keybinding for \ would be quit --confirm. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?67015> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
