This works fine on some Ubuntu and Debian (4.0) machines:
PROMPT_COMMAND='echo -ne
"\033_${us...@${hostname%%.*}:${PWD/$HOME/~}\033\134\033k${us...@${hostname%%.*}:${PWD/$HOME/~}\033\134"'
However on a Debian GNU/Linux 5.0 machine my prompt looks like this:
134134j...@web2:~
What are those "134" sequences doing in there?
