Fellow Screenprinters, I have won a bid for a screenprinting job (and some embroidery) for a local golf tournament. I wanted to provide some promotional towels to the participants to call attention to my company. I am looking for some information around what brand and type of towel I should be looking to screen print on (cheap but not crap), and what pitfalls I should try to avoid. Is there a specific technique I need to use? Do I need a special platen for the towels? Do I have to press the towels before printing them? And the biggest question of all...does this type of promotion pay off?
