Tim, Paul is correct. The printer will only draw what it needs [100 mA]. To be on the safe side, I would contact the manufacturer and see if you can buy the proper power supply for the unit. They may have excess replacement parts. The cost of the power supply has to be far less than the cost of a replacement printer.

Your printer will only draw a max 100 mA according to the original power supply. Although the new one can provide up to 300 mA all that means is you have more headroom if the printer needs more current. The power supply does not force the device to a current level, it only provides as much as the device needs.
