It's actually for a postage scale I just purchased. I got a great deal on
it, but it came without the power supply. I figured I'd save $20 since I'm
not ever going to use this other one now. I was thinking I would just cut
the wire and solder in a resistor, but my question is according to Ohm's
Law, 10V @ 100mA would need a 100 Ohm resister, but since the power supply
is already running at 300mA, I would need a smaller one yet, correct? As you
were saying in parallel? Wouldn't I just install the resistor right on the
plus side and put a diode over from plus to minus? I don't want to take any
chances of frying the unit.
