I'm no expert on aligning shirts....but the following has helped me.
I have a laser level on my machine (manual press). I beam a light across the
platen where the design begins at the top of the screen. I put the shirt on
the platen so that the shoulders & neck are at the top of the platen. Then I
use a ruler and place it on the shirt (perpendicular to the collar and laser
beam shooting across the platen). I pull the shirt up from the platen by the
shoulders and the ruler moves also so I can see how far I've pulled the shirt
up. Before I always guessed and half the time I pulled one side more than the
other. If you don't want to measure, you could also use your hands. Try
putting your hand (sideways) under the collar to make sure you have left
enough room from the collar to the start of the design.

I still struggle with having the shirt centered etc...but the above has helped
me. My partner laughs because he NEVER measures anything and it is ALWAYS
perfect. He has a gift. I, on the other hand struggle with it.

However, I was wondering if anyone has guidelines for sizes.
I struggle with adjusting for size. I usually move in 1/4 to 1/2 inch
increments to adjust for size. What is the standard?

Does anyone have a guidelines that can be used for different sizes?
I'd like to know if I'm on target. So far no one has ever complained...but I
do always wonder if I'm right. I'd love to have a chart to refer to.
If anyone has one that they would be willing to share...I'd be grateful.
