I am sure that you will get a lot of comments regarding you e-mail to the
screenprinters net.
Several items that we need to know in order to help you.
1. Is this a one color or two?
2. Printing on a white or light color shirt or dark?
3. What material is the shirt- 100% cotton, 50/50 or other?

I will comment first regarding speedball inks. I have only used speedball inks
on poster board
years ago. I do not use any speedball products. I only use on textile
substrates commercial
products that are specifically designed for textiles. I use Union inks, Welflex
and serveral others
depending on the fabric and if it is a dark or light color shirt. You can go to
Screenprinters net
and read various posting regarding inks to use. These ink companies also can
help you with which
inks to use for specific materials and what to use on dark shirts compared to
light shirts. The can
also advise you on the mesh to use with their various inks. You can google
Union Ink or Welflex or
any other ink company and get their home page and get info on their products
and a list of
distributors. Another place is to go back to www.screenprintersnet.com and post
on the Newbie forum
and you will get a lot of help. Please remember to give us as much information
if you want people
to be able to give you some help. Everyone on the board are very helpfull and
are a great resource.
I have been doing this for 15 years and still use the boards for help. There
are some really
talented and knowledgeable individuals willing to help you. THANKS

 >Hi everyone,

I'm new to screenprinting and just starting up my first large run. The thing
is that I've been
using speedball ink and it seems a bit thick in that I have to do a couple of
runs with the
squeegee to get the ink coverage adequate. I'm not sure if it's the ink
quality or a mesh sizing
issue.

I've tried mixing the ink with some transparent base to help things along but
it still takes a
couple of passes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. After dropping a couple of thousand on
blanks I don't want
to mess up with my first gig as a vendor at the end of the month and not much
time (or space left
on my credit card) to order more.

Thanks,
Tyleah
