Hello. I had this problem, suddenly, and if in your case (like mine) the D:
drive is your CD-ROM, then I would say you have a case of the stealth
virus( I forget the name as I write) which affects the boot sector on
bootup. In my case I needed a clean boot disk with virus scan on it to
remove.
