I bought an IBM DTLA-307045 40 Gig hard drive a few months ago from a computer fair. I am now trying to get another identical one so that I can kick up the RAID feature of my motherboard and achieve some more speed. The problem is, I cannot find a website that carries this particular hard disk (even the IBM homepage apologizes for being out of them), and going to Google, I notice a lot of negative feedback about it being slow in certain environs. Can any member shed some light on whether there is an inherent flaw in this hard drive, so that I look elsewhere? In which case I will have to junk it and buy two more hard drives. In the alternative, can someone direct me to a site which carries this particular hard drive?
