Without knowing more background information, it is impossible to answer your question. If you do not receive any error message, you may want to start Scribus from the command line. For example on Linux or MacOS: cd ~/Documents scribus test1.sla I don't have scribus on Windows handy, but I'd imagine you can open a CMD, cd to your documents folder, and start scribus with the above command just as you could on Linux.
