Hi gang,
I just compiled 1.1.4, and my first impression is, "WOW!" The speed
continues to improve (and I haven't even gotten the latest QT yet, and
2.6.0's ACPI doesn't like my laptop); and the new icons are a nice touch
(though it did take me a while to say, "Oh THAT'S the text-box icon [never
compile software late at night...]). I've not tried all the features yet,
but I like the improvements in the text-editor (still waiting for "insert
special though"), the paragraph/word/character count is REALLY a nice touch.
But, ohhh, the SPEED. Dragging items off the scrapbook was just
smooth.
Gang, you do GOOD WORK; keep it up. When I find bugs, I'll be happy to
report them, but I wanted to let you know how pleased I am with Scribus, it's
like I have a new toy with hidden tricks that I haven't even tried yet!
