Well, more generally speaking, it would be desirable to import text without losing formatting (most important: bold/italic and font size). I work with QuarkXPress and PageMaker on the Mac. PageMaker can import rtf and WordPerfect files without losing formatting, and QuarkXPress imports Word files, although it sometimes crashes if those bells and whistles such as frames, "auto shapes", "Wordart" etc. are not removed first. I guess it would be best to be able to import rtf, since any text processor can save its files in rtf. Best, SH
