In terms of Gentoo portage, Ghostscript is at 7.05.6-r3. That is the latest and also the "stable" ebuild. Peter would know about higher versions and what they provide. With regards to lcms, I have submitted a bug in the Gentoo bugzilla seeing if 1.11 can be made stable or to see if people are finding bugs with it. No response yet. I am hoping to push lcms 1.11 to stable (if it is) in Gentoo portage for the next (1.1.3 or 1.1.4) Scribus release.
