[Scribus] Symlinked fonts, etc.

Am I right to assume that Scribus can NOT handle symlinked fonts?
I'm curious because if I specify a font path containing symlinked
fonts, Scribus lists the path in the font configuration dialog
but not the fonts themselves.  Should this be considered a bug?
