I am very interested esp. in version 1.2 when it's out. I just wish I were good enough with code to actually get Scribus building natively on the Mac. According to the KDE-Darwin folks (who ported KOffice and KDevelop and the other stuff to OS X) the X11 graphics stuff (my builds always died when they got to GC items in the code) can't just be commented/if-def'ed out (as they did with most other X11 stufF), so apparently it's a tough nut to crack.
