Greetings, all. I've given up trying to get Scribus working under Solaris, so I've put together a system running Sun's Java Desktop System, which is essentially Suse Linux Desktop. The configure of Scribus works well (I've learned a lot from the failed Solaris attempts), and I've been able to get to the make stage. The make fails, however, due to problems in the libart_lgpl headers. Specifically:
gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I/usr/include/freetype2 -I/usr/local/qt/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -DQT_THREAD_SUPPORT -D_REENTRANT -O2 -g -O2 -c `test -f 'art_kmisc.c' || echo './'`art_kmisc.c In file included from art_kmisc.c:5: /usr/local/include/libart_lgpl/art_svp_render_aa.h:38: parse error before '*' token /usr/local/include/libart_lgpl/art_svp_render_aa.h:49: parse error before '*' token /usr/local/include/libart_lgpl/art_svp_render_aa.h:54: `art_svp_render_aa' declared as function returning a function /usr/local/include/libart_lgpl/art_svp_render_aa.h:55: parse error before "void" make[3]: *** [art_kmisc.o] Error 1 I had installed the libart package, and things failed miserably, so I compiled 2.3.3. This works much better, but fails with the above. I've compiled libart on my Solaris system, but this segment of the header looks the same on each. Does anyone have a working version of libart they would be willing to send my way? I'm really wanting to try out Scribus. Thanks. Rainer Heilke
