This may not seem like much, but here is testimony to the ease of use of Scribus -- it's so easy my wife can use it.
We live in a world full of computer-phobes, those who have a low tolerance for the various frustrations of using programs of one sort or another. My wife is one of these people. We use the same wordprocessor we've used for years because she's used to it, even though she doesn't use all the features as she could and should. This is a rather wimpy use of Scribus, but she was trying to put together some pictures on paper for a job interview. I had her identify the pictures she wanted with gqview (easy to use). Then I set up a page with two image frames, showed her how to click on the frames to exchange pictures, then print. The hardest part was going from right-click to left-click. After an example or two, she was off, pleased with herself, no complaining....simply printing out pictures. I made sure I didn't tell her she was using DTP software; would not have helped and probably would have scared her. BUT, who knows what she might get into later -- a newsletter? Greg
