[Scribus] Unable to type Swedish characters (åÅäÄöÖ) in pdf form

Greetings,

I have constructed a pdf form aimed for web publication (Scribus 1.1.5, 
SUSE 9.0, Qt 3.3.1). All is well except the pretty important flaw that 
it is impossible to enter the Swedish characters with umlauts and rings 
(??????) into the exported pdf form.

Any ideas?
