In some books set up in (probably) Quark the right margin and sometimes the left have been set against an (invisible) curve so that it
looks someth- ing like this. but with a smoother appear- ance. S shaped curves are popular. The only free program I know that will do this without hand-fitting is Context, using the Metafun auxiliary program.
