Hello to the list, I hope this is not offtopic in this list. The official magazine of one of the regional goverments in Spain wants to migrate to a new publishing system. For that reason they have issued an open invitation to tender. There are four phases,
- analysis & design (hardware/software) - development - training - startup, final acceptance, maintenance There is a long list of requierements, something that could involve scribus as the publishing application plus other applications to provide document workflow and security services, besides custom programming to interface to internal systems. The bidding parties should prepare a prototype that would be used by the authorities for evaluation. No funds would be given for the prototype. Then, after evaluation of the solutions presented, they would award the bid, probably around February/March next year. The contract would have to be fulfilled within 10 months. The region is showing friendliness to open source solutions, although, the main issue is that things work. So, my question is to know if there would be interest in the Scribus developer community for assessing this tender. I would be happy to assist and provide further details.
