Rolf, the problem can be solved from within OOo:
1. select the picture in OOo Writer (make sure the file can be edited) 2. copy to clipboard 3. open new OOo Draw file 4. insert picture 5. click File > Export (make sure the picture is selected) 6. choose file format and name (make sure "selection" is chosen) 7. save 8. open the file in GIMP and check the settings (colours, size etc.) Hope that helps Viel Gl?ck Christoph
