Well I did a few things and caused a lot of errors. But basically, I can't get Scribus to compile without removing the "setModal=(true)" from the file:
plugins/scripter/valuedialog.cpp I tried installing Qt 3.2.2 but I only succeeded in messing up my startup kdeinit, so I went back to using Qt 3.1.2. Since I am using Mandrake 9.2 with KDE 3.1, I was wondering if that's why KDE doesn't work with Qt 3.2.2.... probably not the reason. Finally, I went to my other machine and got the latest cvs (today) and compiled it on Fedora Core2. I didn't have to reset anything, just used what it has. No problems. It works like a charm. I can import Open Office text and html's just fine. It saves a lot of time. Scribus is first class! Thanks again to everyone working on the project. Fortunately I can share files quite nicely with SAMBA between Mandrake 9.2 and Fedora Core 2 Tom Craig Bradney wrote: >yes.. get text is what I said... > >you should be getting sxw, html and htm in there too.. thats the missing >libxml2.6 > >Craig > >On Thursday 07 October 2004 21:25, Tom2 wrote: > > >>Craig Bradney wrote: >> >> >>>Try making a text frame, right click, get text, then see what file types u >>>can import text from. >>> >>>Other Craig >>> >>> >>There is NO IMPORT only GET TEXT and it shows only " *,.csv and .txt" >> >>Tom >> >> >> >>>On Tuesday 05 October 2004 23:23, Tom2 wrote: >>> >>> >>>>Hey Craig: >>>> >>>>Under "import it says" >>>> >>>>get text >>>>Append Text >>>>Import Page(s) >>>>Import EPS/PS >>>>Import SVG >>>> >>>>Under Scribus Help it says >>>>"Scribus 1.2.1 CVS >>>>This is Build ID 1 Oct 2004 *-*-T" >>>> >>>>still only .txt and .csv for text import! >>>> >>>>In a quandry... >>>> >>>>Tom >>>> >>>>Craig Ringer wrote: >>>> >>>> >>>>>On Tue, 2004-10-05 at 08:34, Tom2 wrote: >>>>> >>>>> >>>>>>Thanks Craig: >>>>>> >>>>>>Yes, the MAKE worked and I could use the Oct.3 version of Scribus CVS. >>>>>> >>>>>>However, I was hoping to see support for OOo.sxw files but don't see >>>>>>it.
