What a difference a year makes! I first dove into Scribus head-first this time
last year to
put together a program for my women's barbershop chorus' annual show. I was
new
both to Scribus and DTP. I started on version 0.9 and quickly replaced it with
1.0. It
worked wonderfully and I got a lot of compliments on the final product. This
list shares
in that because I couldn't have done it without the patient replies to my
myriad of questions.

It's that time of year again and I just got through creating the poster for
this year's show
with 1.2. Wow! I haven't used Scribus much since last fall but have followed
this list
and was excited about the improvements being made. Now I've experienced them
firsthand.
Scribus feels more stable and robust with many new features that make my job
that much
easier.

Franz, Peter, et al., you have been doing a great job. I'm looking forward to
working on
the show program itself and see what else is new and improved. (And I'm REALLY
looking
forward to 1.3 when booklet imposing is part of Scribus for our 2005 show :~)

Thanks again for all your hard work and dedication.
