There is no reliable way of doing it, I think. You can use several different solutions in Scribus so acheive the same PDF. For example how would the importer know if a two colum layout is a two column text frame or two separate text frames? Or if the PDF is created with subset fonts, then the text is outlines in the PDF and I guess OCR would be required to get it back to text. It is VERY hard to translate back from a format with less information into a format with more information. It's a bit like reverse engineering software based on its output. /Peter
