Hi list, QT for Windows will be under GPL for Open Source projects from now on. This could be of some interest for the Windows devs on the list: see the last note by hskottowe in the following feature request.

Ooh! A full-blown Gnome port with HIG 2 compliance, integration with Gimp and Inkscape? How about a Blender-style fund to release Scribus from its QT shackles! And the article mentioned by Kevin http://www.smallbizmac.com/qt/installing-qt-on-windows.html is worth reading, too: "It is worth the effort to install the Qt Windows non-commercial version, as it opens up the Windows platform to open-source Qt programs. (In fact, the non-commercial license requires you to make your applications available under a standard open-source license if you redistribute them.)" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mhanski - 04-Sep-28 18:31 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- New mails: http://nashi.altmuehlnet.de/pipermail/scribus/2004-September/006584.html http://nashi.altmuehlnet.de/pipermail/scribus/2004-September/006585.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- hskottowe - 05-Feb-07 15:30 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Does this new announcement about QT4 for Windows being dual-licensed help with producing a Windows port that will work without requiring users to download other software (like a QT .dll)? http://www.trolltech.com/newsroom/announcements/00000192.html http://www.trolltech.com/developer/faqs/duallicense.html Issue History Date Modified Username Field Change ====================================================================== 03-Nov-19 18:51cbradney New Issue 03-Dec-05 00:50cbradney Assigned To => pjohnson 03-Dec-05 00:50cbradney Status new => assigned 03-Dec-06 00:36pjohnson Note Added: 0000049 03-Dec-06 00:36pjohnson os => Windows 03-Dec-06 00:36pjohnson os_build => XP 03-Dec-06 00:36pjohnson platform => Intel 04-Feb-02 10:15prokoudine Note Added: 0000422 04-Sep-15 20:11mhanski Note Added: 0002384 04-Sep-15 20:39mhanski Issue Monitored: mhanski 04-Sep-15 21:40packetbell Note Added: 0002386 04-Sep-16 12:38mhanski Note Added: 0002388 04-Sep-16 16:46deejay1 Issue Monitored: deejay1 04-Sep-16 18:32deejay1 Note Added: 0002389 04-Sep-16 18:40mhanski Note Added: 0002390 04-Sep-28 18:31mhanski Note Added: 0002562 04-Nov-02 10:07rdebel Issue Monitored: rdebel 05-Feb-07 15:30hskottowe Note Added: 0003643 ======================================================================
