I just did the 9.0 to 9.1 SuSE upgrade and I ran into the dreaded /dev/null prermission denied problem. Root could enter the graphics mode but not user (me, bart). It said I had no X server. I ddid not import the old Desktop fast enough. Moeover the Novell site is now UNINTELLIBILE. I do not see the patch path. Also wvdial and pp need patches which I know from my home box which runs 9.1 I did a fresh install. Al little nit better.
