I've been using FC4, Red Hat Fedora Core 4, for over a week also without any problems with compiling Scribus 1.3cvs. FC4 produces tighter code with the new GCC compiler. Security has been tightened up on all the folders and subfolders, which is a pain, but necessary in today's climate. Frank
