I have Python 2.2.2 and this seems to be the problem. I am now thinking of a way to install python 2.3.x without breaking the syste utilitues which rely on 2.2.2 . Perhaps there is a way to tell Scribus to look for a different Python path or executable name (i.e. python23) ? -- Yours, Mikhail Ramendik
