I'm stumped, too... In Mac OS X, 'running things from the Finder' is how it's done, unless you perhaps launch things from the Terminal.
Maybe I should emphasize that I am having this issue with the Aqua version of Scribus, and not the one installed with Fink and run in X-11 or X windows. thank you! netkat
