But for a quick and dirty solution, pdftk works, and generates a reasonably good resolution in its output (though clearly not as good as the original). It does have sort of a kludgy character -- works slowly, and the size of each page is very nearly as much as the original multipage document. A more elegant, inline solution would certainly be nice. If it could be similar in appearance to the sidebar thumbnails you can view in Adobe Reader (and with drag and drop functionality), that too would be good. Greg
