I use Open Source Software wherever possible, and I use it because it is perfect for my needs. It just seems that there has been a big push for Desktop Linux, and FOSS Products in particular. I just thought that there may be some benefit to teaming up with other FOSS Products to put forth their masterpieces to a bigger crowd.
