Hi Rolf, as Andreas wrote, OTF is the future, but unfortunately it's not the present for all applications yet. OO.o doesn't support OTF. You can't use OpenType there. So, for the time being, I would either buy Type 1 or TTF. If you buy TTF from a well-known foundry, such as Adobe or Berthold, you will receive high quality fonts without printing issues. Many printers, however, still prefer Type 1. In the end, it depends on you and the ones you have to work with. The upside is: some high quality fonts are nowadays much cheaper as TTF or Type 1 than they used to be, because the shops focus on OTF. HTH, Christoph
