In a nut shell Publisher was the reason I learned Scribus. I found significant difficulties just doing our grey scale newsletter in Publisher While Publisher appears easier it lacks the capabilities of Scribus. There is no easy road to learning Scribus other than getting into it and doing a newsletter or brochure. Now I find that 'frustration avoidance' makes me use Scribus for almost all my documents. letters, etc as well as the newsletter Roger
