Nevertheless, Scribus has already a lot of settings, especially in the File / Preferences menu which are improving the usability. With some of the standard values here, I'm not happy and I change them as quickly I installed Scribus :-) Perhaps it would be also a good idea to collect some individual settings from Scribus users.
